Thank you for visiting my movie review blog site. Movies have always fascinated me because they are a conglomerate of creative forces coming together that when done well can take you into worlds you've only imagined and sometimes ones you haven't. The joining of the written word, acting, special effects, audio effects and music can remove you from your normal life and take you to exotic places without leaving your home. If you're lucky, you may even come back to your normal everyday routine with a message that will inspire you and refresh your outlook or a song that makes you smile inside whenever you hum it.
I believe that the choice of the movie and the time at which you choose to view it will have a big effect on whether you find it to be a great, good, so-so, bad or horrible experience. For instance, you may feel like an action movie, to take you away from a stressful day, but you start to watch it late at night and you miss the subtle things the director has put into it, that would normally cause you to be intrigued and want more. Instead you don't rate it very high or even worse, fall asleep. It's with this in mind, that I review movies in fine detail, dissecting them and summarizing the information so you can quickly determine whether or not this is a movie you want to watch.
My summaries provide you with all the usual info that viewers use to choose a movie. Some choose by category. Some follow actors. Others may follow directors. The summaries give you all of that and more, expanding on what part the actors play, mentioning the main plot and sub-plots of the movie, giving the feelings I experienced chapter by chapter, so on and so on. It does not tell you about the movie in great detail though for fear of taking away the experience you should view first hand.
I also provide you with what I call a "Movie Hunt Section", which are questions about specific things within the movie. This section can be used as a game a family or group of friends can play to see how attentive they were during the movie. The answers are found by viewing a specific location that is given. The reward for the most questions answered correctly is up to you. Who knows, they may even help you enjoy the movie more by encouraging you to be more aware of all the things that went into the production.
